Member Event on International Day of Zero Tolerance for FGM

Our specialist member service The Vavengers are holding an event in partnership with The Girl Generation discussing domestic and overseas work to end FGM.

The event will be held in London on Wednesday 5th February at 9am – 4pm. The event agenda is below:

• 09:00 to 09:30 – Arrival with tea, coffee and light breakfast refreshments
• 09:45 to 10:00 – Opening remarks
• 10:00 to 11:15 – Domestic Panel Discussion: Cross-UK government work with gender-equity activists
• 11:15 to 12:00 – Lunch break
• 12:00 to 13:15 – International Panel Discussion: Global survivor platforming work and the use of ‘power of language’ to end FGM
• 13:15 to 14:00 – Comfort break
• 14:00 to 14:15 – Live poetry performance
• 14:15 to 15:30 – Drinks reception and networking
• 15:30 to 15:40 – Closing remarks
